Recreation Committee Meeting Wednesday August 19, 2026 5:30pm at Juneau Community Center Chairman Agenda _____________________________________________________________________________ Members: Matoushek, Justman, Erstad, Smedema, White, Nehls-Rennhack, and Mayor Jane Fude Members Absent: Mayor Jane Fude 1. The meeting was called to order at 5:30pm and roll call was taken. 2. Erstad/White to approve the agenda. Motion carried. 3. White/Erstad to approve minutes from previous meeting. 4. Public Appearances and Comments 5. Review and Discuss Community Center Lease- Contributing Non-Profit, Civil Organizations having to sign a use contract for each of their free events Working on. 6. Rage Soccer a. Discuss late jersey turn-in consequences Looking at fines for late jersey turn in. Possible fee at registration for jersey- return fee at end of season. Find out cost of uniform and base it off of that? b. Discuss withdraw requests Returned 1 request due to circumstances. Discussed 2 other requests. Create a policy for future on refund/withdraw requests to establish a deadline. c. U10 teams Full girls team, other 2 teams divided by resident and non-resident for ride purposes. 6. Wild Goose Park – Shed Updates Discussed concession stand aspects. Planning to place south of the concrete slab by the large U14 field. 7. Recreation & Program Coordinator Report a. Program Updates Flag Football, numbers are close to having teams. Girls basketball, numbers are extremely low. Rage Soccer, painter broke again, replaced parts. Strong Bodies Strong Bones paired up with open walking. b. Security Meetings Recap Verkada-Cameras. Gappa-Cameras. TextMyGov-Marketing/Information. c. Summer Assistant Updates Done for the Summer. d. Back to School Bash Received packets from Modern Woodman of America for child DNA for parents to hold in case of emergency. 8. Old Business Discussed adult softball. 9.
