Public Comment regarding agenda items: None Communications: Karl Huth was in attendance to speak about a potential new build of 2 apartment complexes at 510 Home Road. The proposed site will be 15 - 2 bedroom and 15 - 1-bedroom apartments with 1 garage per unit. He answered questions that Council had. These units would range between $100,000 - $125,000 per unit to build (all inclusive, including costs for a parking lot, etc.). These would not be low-income housing and rent would range from 1 bedroom - $1,000 to $1,100 and 2 bedroom - $1,300 a month. Plan Commission approved for a rezone of this property from an R-3 to a PUD to be in compliance with the plan that was presented by Huth, but at this time there was no Rezone Application submitted or Public Hearing held at Plan Commission for the rezone to proceed to Council. Mr. Huth is looking for financial incentive from the City but he was unsure at this time what he was asking for. Mayor Wegener stated that the only way a financial incentive could be provided is if this build was within a TIF District. The City has some major capital items that are already on the docket for the next borrowing. The City would take on all TID debt until the tax increment would cover expenses (if the increment would be large enough).
