Special Recreation Committee Meeting Minutes Monday March 2, 2026 5:30pm at Juneau City Hal l Members Present: Jane Fude, Jennifer White, Kara Erstad, Wendy Jo Smedema, Jessica Nehls- Rennhack Also Invited: Mayor Wegener, Pam Bunkoske, Richard Evans, and Gail Amsler 1. The meeting was called to order at 5:31 and roll call was taken. 2. Approval of the Agenda: White/Nehls-Rennhack to approve the agenda. Motion carried 5-0. 3. Approval of Minutes from Previous Meeting: Fude/Nehls-Rennhack to approve the February 18, 2026 meeting minutes. 4. Public appearances and citizen comments re: agenda items: None. 5. Smedema/White into closed session as Per WI Stat 19.85 (1)(C) Considering employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility at 5:36 PM. Roll call: Erstad aye, Fude aye, Smedema aye, White aye, Nehls-Rennhack aye. Motion carried 5-0. a. Review and Discuss Applications received for Recreation Program Coordinator b. Possibly Interview Candidates 6. Smedema/White to reconvene to Open Session as Per WI Stat 19.85(2) and Disclose Findings if any at 6:12 PM. Roll call: Erstad aye, Fude aye, Smedema aye, White aye, Nehls-Rennhack aye. Motion carried 5-0. Interviewed Jacob Matoushek. 7. Possibly Take Action/Recommendation to Personnel: Smedema/Nehls-Rennhack to recommend to the Personnel Committee to offer $23.27, Level 4 to Jacob Matoushek. 8. Review, Discuss, and Possibly Approve Removing the Bleachers in the Gym at the Community Center. White/Fude to have bleachers removed due to safety concerns at the Community Center.
