Juneau Fire Department 128 E. Cross St Juneau, WI 53039 February 18, 2026 Chief Eddie Weiss called the monthly Juneau Fire Dept meeting to order and roll call was taken. Brian Smedema made a motion to approve the agenda, with John Schuster seconding it, motion carried. Jessy Schuster made a motion to accept the previous meeting minutes, with Dan Jahnke seconding it, motion carried. There was a motion made by Dan Jahnke to accept the treasurer's report, with John Schuster seconding it, motion carried. Public Comment: None Communications: None Training: Blood Borne Pathogens, need to set up a sat to do CPR training. Fund Raising: Trap Shoot 9/12/2026 Fund Purchase: Dan Jahnke made a motion to purchase 3 personal TIC’s, second by Curt Ninmann motion carried. Fire Prevention: Nothing to report Preplan & Inspection: New ones received, doing follow ups Membership: nothing to report Maintenance: Pump is back on 2384. TNT tools were inspected, recommend VP Brand gas for the pumps. Review Passed calls: We went over the previous months calls. RRS: 150 Committee: Curt is getting prices to send to the city. Old Business: nothing to report Lexipol / Fire Rescue One: Independent study program, area departments are doing 2-4 trainings a month. One in person training, and the other one is online. Once the online is completed it is added to your file. ESO: Check lists need to get done weekly, 2391 shows issue, Chief is working on that. New Business: Hose testing to start soon, 6pm on mondays, watching the weather. Weekly truck checks need to be done weekly Per SPS 330.Fit Tests for everyone, April 15 from 4-8 pm. Physicals and hearing tests 8 people per year. Per SPS 330. 9/11 parade 25th anniversary, would like to gather 411 marchers, Dan Jahnke will be bringing prices back to the group next month. Juneau Festival: July 25th more discussion to come. Job shirts/sweatshirts: need to order a minimum of 12 garments. NVFC membership, everyone is a member / it's an outsource reference. Find out what the fair is doing to vote, bring up for next month's meeting.
