Recreation Committee Meeting Friday, January 23, 2026, 5:00pm at Community Center MEETING MINUTES Members Present: Jessica Nehls-Rennhack, Wendy Jo Smedema & Jennifer White and Jane Fude Members Absent: Kara Erstad Also Present: Mayor Dan Wegener 1. This meeting was called to order at 5:02 pm and roll call was taken. Present: Fude, Nehls-Rennhack, Smedema, White, and Mayor Wegener. 2. White/Nehls-Rennhack to approve the meeting agenda. Motion Carried 4-0. 3. Smedema/White to approve the minutes from the previous meeting with amendments, seconded by Nehls-Rennhack. Motion Carried 4-0. 4. Public appearances and citizen comments: None. 5. Review and Discuss and Possibly Approve renaming the Recreation Director position to Recreation Program Coordinator. White/Nehl-Rennhack to approve renaming the Recreation Director position to Recreation Program Coordinator. Motion carried 4-0. 6. Review, Discuss, and Possibly Approve the Recreation Program Coordinator Job Description. White/Smedema to approve as edited and to forward to the Personnal Committee. Motion Carried 4-0. 7. Review, Discuss and Possibly Approve the posting of the Recreation Program Coordinator position after approval by the Personnel Committee and Common Council. White/Nehls-Rennhack to approve the position of the Recreation Program Coordinator position after approval by the Personnel Committee and Common Council. Motion carried 4-0. 8. Old Business: None. 9. New Business: White said that Dodgeland will also be hosting the Palmyra tournament due to their district closure with no additional costs. 10.
