Meeting Minutes

Meeting minutes for August Board meeting. Chairman Kevin Hoyer called the meeting to order at 7:32PM. The pledge of allegiance was recited. Chairman Kevin Hoyer, Supervisor Chase Aleckson, Supervisor Mark Dummer and Katie Reding were all present. Minutes were read . Aleckson made a motion to approve the minutes. Dummer made the second. Motion Carried. The agenda was read. Dummer made a motion to approve the agenda as read. Aleckson made the second. Motion carried. No Public comment was made. Chairmen Remarks Hoyer mentioned that All Recycle Center is complete except the walk thru. Fire Dept Ordinance Minimum of 1 inspection per year. To stay in compliance. Dummer made a motion to approve Ordinance # 2026.8. Aleckson seconded the motion. Motion passed 3-0 Aleckson pest control will provide a free service at the Town of Hamilton Building twice a year and will provide a certificate of liability. Dummer made a motion to approve. Hoyer made the second motion. Motion Carried Aleckson recused himself from this motion. Mississippi Mayhem requested a picnic license for September 11-13, 2026 taking place at N4985 County Road M West Salem, WI 54669 Aleckson made a motion to approve. Dummer made the second motion. Motion carried. Tom Jostad requested a private road for Jostad Rd. After discussion Kevin is going to look into this further on the options. John Willinger was present regarding the Shorewood park and speed limit. Dummer made a motion to table this until September's monthly board meeting. . Road Report and zoning Hoyer reported Buol Rd is completely finished. The Road Crew is starting the mowing process for the final mow. Sterling is back and the hydraulic much better. Backhoe both brakes needing to be looked at and possibly a transmission flush. Hoyer is looking into replacing some equipment in the near future. Recycle Center 2nd phase is completed now. One dumpster was removed and the road crew will take care of hauling e-waste. Payment request Americon submitted the 3rd payment request $124,493.20. After review Dummer made a motion to approve the payment #3 of $124,493.20. Aleckson made the second.Motion Carried The meeting for September is scheduled for Tuesday September 1st, 2026. The fire district CD for $63,788.18 is coming up due on August 15th. Dummer motioned to have Reding put the CD in for a term of 18 months. Aleckson made the second. Motion carried. Reding handed out the bank balances and checks written report. Aleckson made a motion to approve the financial report. Dummer made the second. Aleckson made a motion to approve paying of the bills. Dummer made the second motion. Motion carried. Aleckson motioned to adjourn the meeting at 9:17 PM and Dummer made the second motion. Motion passed.
