Library report: • The library has once again partnered with Richfield 4-H in hosting the Angel Tree. We would also like to express special thanks to the generous support of our community! All ornaments were adopted within two weeks, and the returned gifts are sure to
make Christmas a little brighter for an area family. The library genuinely believes in the educational and imaginative value of Take ‘n
Make kits and offers them to the community from September through April each year. Demand for these kits continues to grow. Normal months see thirty kits taken within two weeks. Our December Wooden Reindeer Ornament saw over forty-five kits taken in six days, with all ages appreciating the creativity of what can be done with a simple mini cutting board. The Christmas Movie Challenge has been a success! Each week, community members can vote either in-library or on Facebook for their favorite Christmas movies, with the winners then advancing their position as we work our way to a final winner to be announced on December 22. Lionel, our little Library Elf, is back for another season. This year, we have Lionel’s Christmas Riddle Challenge where visitors complete a scavenger hunt to find not
only Lionel but all the ornaments he’s hidden around the library. Each ornament contains a letter and number that are used to solve a silly Christmas riddle. The library has wrapping materials left over from the Wrap Party that was held on
2.
Dec 4. A drop-in Wrapping Station has now been set up for visitors to get Christmas gifts all wrapped up and ready for giving. Wrapping materials will be available while supplies last. The library hosted a Rustic Snowman Porch Sign program on Saturday, December 6. Due to the size of the class and the barn boards used, this single event was
separated into two events to better accommodate the available space in the library. The 2025 Book Lottery Scratch Off Reading Challenge is ending soon. Book Lottery Tickets are due back to the library by Friday, December 19 to be entered in the year end prize drawing. Plans are now being finalized for the 2026 Back in Time Reading
