1 TOWN OF PORT EDWARDS BUDGET PREP BOARD MEETING MINUTES Date: October 27, 2025 Call to Order: Chairman Randy Moody called the budget prep meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. in the Town Hall. The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance. Meeting Certification: This meeting has been properly posted (on the Town Hall door, and published on the Town’s website), to notify the public of date, place, time, and agenda. Attendance: Chairman Randy Moody, Supervisors Tim Schmidt and Trevor Jensen, Clerk Tracey Draper, and Treasurer Kathy Reese. One member of the public was also in attendance. Agenda: Pledge of allegiance Set date for special meeting of electors to review levy limit Discuss, prepare, and draft 2026 Town of Port Edwards budget Adjourn Schmidt motioned to approve the agenda, Jensen seconded, motion carried. The date of a Special Electors meeting to review the levy limit was set for Monday, November 17, 2025 immediately following the Public Hearing on the proposed 2026 budget. Budget Preparation: Budget worksheets were reviewed. The Board reviewed the budget sheets by going line by line. There were some question and discussion on loan payment regarding levy limit, emergency services loan, and road projects. Due to numerous budgetary questions, it was decided that another budget prep meeting should be scheduled in order to allow time to research the necessary information. The next budget prep meeting was set for Monday, November 3, 2025 at 5:00 pm at the Town Hall. Adjourn: Being there was no other business to conduct, Jensen made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:58 p.m. and Schmidt seconded. All were in favor and the motion carried.
