Schmidt motioned to approve Clerk College, Jensen seconded, motion carried. Fire Call Reports: The Clerk received 3 fire call reports. One report was for a call to a one- vehicle accident in the Township. The Board instructed the Clerk to bill the party $500 as has been customary for such calls and allowed by the Town’s Fire Call Ordinance. A fire call report was received for a call to assist a boat stuck on a sand bar located in the Township, south of Freeman Boat Landing. The Board requested the Clerk verify that the call was indeed in the Township, and if in the Township to bill the party $250. The third fire call report received was in regards to a fire set by some downed power lines due to a storm in the Township. There will not be a charge for this call. The Board requested the Clerk make a list of fees associated with Fire Calls for future reference. Review of Active Town Conditional Use Permits: The list of active Conditional Use Permits was presented to the Board. The Board instructed the Clerk to move Dan Greenwood, Fazio Auto, and Trucks on 73 to the inactive list, as these permits are no longer in use. Jensen motioned to approve the active Conditional Use Permits, Schmidt seconded. All in favor. 3 Old Business: Spectrum Utility Contract: The Clerk received the completed application and associated fees for the utility work proposed to be done on Ver Bunker Avenue and Port Road. Public Input: A Town resident noted the bridge out on County Line Road. Moody noted that it will be shut down until its replacement, per Wood County, likely in 2027. It washed out and has been refilled numerous times, but continues to wash out. There is a grant for the replacement of that bridge and the last bridge. The bridge is co-owned by the Town of Port Edwards and Wood County, the Town of Armenia, and Juneau County. Question was then asked what will be done in regards to the snowmobile trail on that road. Moody stated he will talk to Roland Hawk with the County to see what will be done about that. If there might be another route. A question was then raised as to how much the town was charged the last time the bridge was fixed. That information is not readily available, and will need to be looked up. Clarification was requested regarding Clerk College. It was noted that it is a clerk only monthly training either virtually or at meetings in Stevens Point or WTA workshops or conferences throughout the year. Question was raised as to whether there was any groundwork done to review the Conditional Use Permits onsite to assure they are complying with the standards set initially. It was noted that these are only reviewed on paper, and not visited in-person. Question was then raised if the Planning and Zoning Commission should be calling the Conditional Use Permit holders to find out if they remain active. Moody mentioned that it is a duty that could be assigned to the Planning & Zoning Committee. Suggestion was made to raise the fees related to the fire calls, that $250 is not enough. Moody mentioned that the fees vary related to the fire call. Clerk Draper will look up the fee schedule and have it available at the next meeting. The former clerk requested that the Town draft a letter to send to all vendors regarding the address and contact change, as some Town mail continues to have her address listed, or both clerk’s names, etc. Moody noted that many vendors have already been contacted. A letter will be drafted and sent to vendors, with a copy brought to the next meeting. Adjourn: Being no other business to conduct, Jensen made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:31 p.m. and Schmidt seconded. All were in favor and the motion carried. Respectfully submitted, Tracey Draper, Clerk
