Next Scheduled Board Meeting: June Town Board meeting set for June 16, 2025 at 6 pm.
Highway Superintendent Report: Chairman Moody read the report in Superintendent
Lueneburg’s absence. Road conditions remain about the same, except Kimball, Creamery,
Wilhorn, and south Swiggum continue to need patch work done. Grader will need work done
on A/C again. Grading is caught up on the marsh roads for now, but will need to return to some
roads at a later date. Recycling event went well. Some complaints about notification of date
and times. Some residents asked a mailer be sent out ahead of time. Reminded them to check
the bulletin boards next year for postings.
Correspondence: No correspondence to report.
New Business:
Marty Welter, CW Web Design – Town Website: Marty was here before the meeting and
took pictures of the new Board members. He will Zoom call with Clerk Draper at a later date for
website training.
Old Business:
Nuisance Ordinance Violations: Still waiting for Wood County to come up with some sort of
agreement for us. There are currently 4 areas noted for nuisance violations. Once we hear
from Wood County we can move forward with the citations. It was recommended by the
attorney that the Town not issue citations due to the legalities, but to have an officer issue
citations. Chairman Moody will also discuss this issue with other Towns at the upcoming
Wisconsin Towns Association Meeting for input. Will also discuss with the Towns Attorney,
Nick Abst, the option of sending a letter to the violators.
Public Input:
Attorney, Rick Bender addressed the Board on behalf of Brian Ruesch regarding a pending
divided 30-acre parcel sale. Discussion followed regarding the allowance to build a home on a
portion of the parcel. The Town’s attorney will be contacted regarding this issue. This will be
readdressed at the next Town Board meeting. If a definite answer is discovered prior to the
next meeting, Brian and/or Attorney Bender will be contacted.
There was a question about the Town’s revenue in April versus other months. Treasurer
Reese explained how the Town income varies from month-to-month depending on payments
from the state, grants, credits received, etc.
Topics for Future Discussion: None noted.
Adjourn: Being no other business to conduct, Schmidt made a motion to adjourn the meeting
at 6:55p.m. and Jensen seconded. All were in favor and the motion carried.
Respectfully submitted,
Tracey Draper, Clerk
