Town of Sherry Regular Board of Supervisors Monthly Meeting Minutes December 10, 2024 The regular Board monthly meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Lang, Supervisor Bean, Supervisor Holtz, Clerk Lobner and Treasurer Haas present. Additions to the Agenda: None. The minutes from November 12, 2024, Town Board of Supervisors meeting minutes approved by a motion by Supervisor Bean, second by Supervisor Holtz. Motion carried. The Treasurer’s Report approved by a motion by Supervisor Holtz, second by Supervisor Bean. Motion carried. Pay Bills: a motion by Supervisor Holtz, second by Supervisor Bean to pay all bills. Continue to hold the check for the City of Marshfield unpaid 2021 ambulance call. Motion carried. Transfer Funds from Tax Savings to Checking: None. Delinquent Sanitary Charges: There are two resident delinquent charges from Sanitary District submitted to County Treasurers Office for charges to be added as a lien of parcel. City of Marshfield 2021 Unpaid Ambulance Invoice: An initial Invoice was sent September 13, second invoice was sent to the estate of the deceased on November 7. No payment received. A 3rd invoice will be mailed with note to call Town Board on outstanding payment. Dog at Large Forfeiture Invoices: VK remains unpaid. An initial Invoice was sent September 13, second invoice was sent on November 7. No payment received. A 3rd invoice with note to call Town Board on outstanding payment. Wood County Humane Society Contract: A motion by Supervisor Bean, second by Supervisor Holtz to adopt the 2025 WCHS contract. Motion carried. Municipalities may bill residents for contract costs incurred for strays, surrenders, etc. Establish Town Caucus Date: January 14, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. Proceed with Appointment of Clerk, job description, etc: Board reviewed a Notice of Town Clerk Position draft. The notice is to be posted on the Town’s external bulletin board, Town website and on FaceBook. The Board will meet soon to develop additional plans to proceed to appoint Clerk. Innovation Planning Grant Opportunities available through WI Department of Revenue. There is no interest from the Board in applying. Clerk will file DOR SL-400 Report with no interest in participation. Roads / Bridges and Road Maintenance • Sherry Town Board attended the Town of Sigel Board meeting last week to discuss Lundberg and Tenpas Roads ongoing water issues. Town of Sigel will assess the site and respond to the Sherry Board. • Rip rap to Vruwink Road bridge. • Discussion of town roads requiring brush cutting. A motion by Supervisor Holtz, second by Supervisor Bean to authorize Wood County to perform brush cutting for up to one week’s work. Motion carried. Fairview Cemetery Update: No updates to report. Recycling Center Update: a review of invoice 2024-15 authorized to be mailed to Town of Milladore, with CY2024 reconciliation of account to occur in January. Land Use Coordination Plan Update: Committee delivered draft of document and proposed draft 2025-01 Ordinance to Adopt Land Use Coordination Plan to Town Board.
