Town of Sherry Regular Board of Supervisors Monthly Meeting Minutes September 10, 2024 The regular Town Board monthly meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Chairman Lang, Supervisor Bean, Supervisor Holtz, Clerk Lobner and Treasurer Haas present. Additions to the Agenda: Additional correspondence received. The minutes from the August 14, 2024, Town Board of Supervisors meeting minutes approved by a motion by Supervisor Bean, second by Supervisor Holtz. Motion carried. The Treasurer’s Report approved by a motion by Supervisor Holtz, second by Supervisor Bean. Motion carried. Pay Bills: a motion by Supervisor Bean, second by Supervisor Holtz to pay all bills. Further details obtained on the City of Marshfield unpaid 2021 ambulance call. Motion carried. Transfer Funds from Tax Savings to Checking: None. Referendum Question on Changing Clerk Position: After wording approval from Wood County Clerk the following question will be placed on the November 5, 2024, ballot, “Shall the person holding the office of Town Clerk in the Town of Sherry be appointed by the town board?” Develop Process: Administrative Charge Billing of Delinquent Sanitary Charges: a motion to table topic by Supervisor Holtz, second by Supervisor Bean to allow further research of Wisconsin Chapter 74.45. Motion carried. Follow-up of Certified Survey Map Review of Parcels #2100082 (farm acreage) and #2000575 (5 acre building lot) by Chairman Lang reports the Wood County Treasurer office has received the delinquent tax payments. Signed map returned to Wood County Planning and Zoning City of Marshfield 2021 Unpaid Ambulance Invoice details obtained. An invoice will be sent to the estate of the deceased to reimburse the Town of Sherry for the City of Marshfield unpaid 2021 ambulance call. Grid Forward Central (Arpin Substation) WI Project - WI PSC has requested an e-copy of Application Correspondence to be placed for public review on www.townofsherry.com website. Clerk will proceed with posting. Roads / Bridges and Road Maintenance • Discussion on Paradise Road progress and line placement by InterCon. • Swedish Road culvert replaced • Sherry-Sigel Road graded early September • Rose Road graded • Brush cutting to be considered for winter Fairview Cemetery Update: no updates. Recycling Center Update: a review of invoice 2024-12 followed by a motion by Supervisor Holtz, second by Supervisor Bean to authorize invoice to be mailed to Town of Milladore. Motion carried. The ‘Weekly Vehicle Tally and Sign-in’ sheet data collection continues and will be reviewed in October. All open staffing shifts are filled for September. Supervisor Holtz and Clerk Lobner will work on DNR Grant which is due October 1. Land Use Coordination Plan Update: Committee continues to meet with additional Section drafts reviewed. Board members will be provided with additional Sections for review and comment. The August 28 meeting was cancelled. Next meetings: September 11 and 25 at 6:00 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend and provide input. Correspondence: • Agricultural Roads Improvement Program Second Round (ARIP2) announcement. If the criteria have not changed, the Town is not eligible. • WTA Magazine: Animals at Large article shared. Reports continue on dogs at large in Sherry. Letters and invoices will be sent to the two dog owners. • Wood County Unit Meeting of WTA Fri Sep 20, 2024, Host: Town of Lincoln • The 2025 City of Wisconsin Rapids Compost Recycling cooperative agreement was presented. No motion to support signing of agreement. • WISLR and Paser map review. Copy on file. • County Roads F and HH roundabout public involvement meeting will be held on September 12, 2024, from 4-6 p.m. at Sigel Town Hall. This meeting will be an informal open house format. The objective of this meeting is to provide project information and gather public input about the proposed project. • The 2024 WTA Convention will be held at the Stevens Point Holiday Inn and Convention Center on October 6th-8th. Registration required. . Public Comment: Report of 4-wheeler running through Tenpas Road/County F stop sign. Schedule Future Meetings, as needed: None. Future Agenda Items: None.
