Town of Sherry Regular Board of Supervisors Monthly Meeting Minutes August 14, 2024 The regular Town Board monthly meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Chairman Lang, Supervisor Bean, Supervisor Holtz, Clerk Lobner and Treasurer Haas present. Additions to the Agenda: None. The minutes from the July 9, 2024, Town Board of Supervisors meeting minutes approved with minor corrections by a motion by Supervisor Bean, second by Supervisor Holtz. Motion carried. The Treasurer’s Report approved by a motion by Supervisor Bean, second by Supervisor Holtz. Motion carried. Pay Bills: a motion by Supervisor Bean, second by Supervisor Holtz to pay all bills except the City of Marshfield unpaid 2021 ambulance call which requires further information. Motion carried. Transfer Funds from Tax Savings to Checking: None. County Representative Report: No report. Ordinance Changing Clerk Position: A motion by Supervisor Bean, second by Supervisor Holtz to approve Ordinance 2024-02 Changing Clerk Position from Elected to Appointment of Clerk for a referendum question to be placed on the November 5, 2024, ballot. Motion carried. The draft referendum question shall be: “Shall the person holding the office of Town Clerk in the Town of Sherry be appointed by the town board?” Certified Survey Map: A motion by Supervisor Holtz, second by Supervisor Bean to approve the certified survey map for compliance with local ordinances and regulations for Christian Russo 7315 Swedish Road. Motion carried. Certified Survey Map: A motion by Supervisor Holtz, second by Supervisor Bean to tentatively approve the certified survey map for compliance with local ordinances and regulations for #2100082 (farm acreage) and #2000575 (5 acre building lot) pending research of unpaid delinquent taxes on both properties. Todd Shortell, owner confirmed via text the delinquent tax payments on both properties to be fully paid upon sale of acreage. Clerk will contact Country Treasurer’s office and Gowey Title company for payment statement and follow-up with Chairman Lang. Motion carried. Reviewed Sanitary Permit Application: Carol Kulibert, 4778 Dairy Road. Roads / Bridges and Road Maintenance • Discussion on Paradise Road progress • Swedish Road has big bump near bridge • Mill Creek, Rose and Swedish Roads rough. Fairview Cemetery Update: Received completed Cemetery Plot-Lot Designation Form for Mrs. John DeBoer Plot 59, Lots 4, 5, and 6. Recycling Center Update: a review of invoice 2024-__ followed by a motion by Supervisor Holtz, second by Supervisor Bean to authorize invoice 2024-__ to be mailed to Town of Milladore. Motion carried. The ‘Weekly Vehicle Tally and Sign-in’ sheet data collection continues. Data will be reviewed at a future meeting. Land Use Coordination Plan Update: Committee continues to meet with additional Section drafts reviewed. Board members were provided three Sections for review and comment. Supervisor Bean shared comments and edit requests. The public is encouraged to attend the August 28, 2024, 6:00 p.m. meeting. 2024 Elections: August 13 Partisan Primary with 41% turnout, General Election on November 5.
