Town of Sherry Special Board of Supervisors Meeting Minutes June 26, 2024 The Special Board of Supervisors meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Lang with Supervisor Bean, Supervisor Holtz, and Clerk Lobner present. This meeting was posted June 22, 2024. Meeting purpose to review accounting software and reports as part of Town Clerk duties. Discussion on timeliness and reliability of accounting reports. Review and discussion on the ever-changing Clerk’s role and responsibilities including demands of election processes/training, recycling center, town hall rental, management of website, State and Federal reporting, payroll, agendas/minutes and day-to-day correspondence. Discussion of clerk role, duties, and prioritization of essential duties. The question was posed: Would the Town support an Appointed Clerk position? Clerk Lobner will research ordinances to adopt appointment of clerk. A referendum question would need to be placed on the November 5, 2024, general election ballot. Schedule Future Meetings, as required: Future Agenda Items: Adopt appointment of clerk. Adjournment: There was a motion to adjourn by Supervisor Holtz, second by Supervisor Bean. Motion carried.
