TOWN OF SHERRY SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING October 31, 2022 The Special Town Board Meeting was called to order at 9:30 a.m. with Chairman Homb, Supervisor Bean, Supervisor Holtz, and Clerk Lobner present. The Town board received a utility request for clarification on the Vermillion Street right-of-way for a gas main extension. The town board completed a review of Wisconsin State Statutes 82.31 Validation of Highways, and 82.16 Highway Orders; presumptions as advised by WTA attorney. The town board completed a review of Wisconsin Information System for Local Roads (WISLR) application. The Town has maintained Vermillion Street for greater than 19 years. Vermillion Street was last paved in 2003 and is 0.29 miles long. During the meeting, received a call from landowner and that he was unable to meet with the town board at specified time and requested delay until 1:00 p.m. There was a motion to adjourn and reconvene at 1:00 p.m. when landowner is present from Supervisor Holtz, seconded by Supervisor Bean. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 10:15 a.m. The Special Town Board Meeting was reconvened and called to order at 1:00 p.m. with Chairman Homb, Supervisor Bean, Supervisor Holtz, and Clerk Lobner present. The landowner was present, as well as a neighboring resident. Reviewed findings of ss 82.31 and 82.16, WISLR and on-going Town maintenance of Vermillion Street with landowner. Landowner will contact utilities regarding any further concerns. It was recommended that the area be surveyed.
