2022 Town Board Meeting Minutes August 16

Town of Cary August 16th 2022 Board Meeting The Regular Cary Town Board was called to order on August 16th, 2022 at 6:08pm. In attendance were Board Members: Mark Gosh, Chairman; Dennis Brunner and Dale Zawislan, Supervisors; Jean Gansch, Clerk; Cary Rucker, Treasurer; Lori Hiebl Deputy Clerk. There were 2 members of the community present. Checks were reviewed and signed. Minutes of the July meeting were read and corrections were made. Motion to accept the minutes as read was made by Dale Zawislan, seconded by Dennis Brunner. Motion passed Clerk information: Treasurers report: None due to software issue. Treasurer’s information: Comments were made about the Treasurers Bond; Carey will call Rural Mutual Insurance about bonding the treasurer for a full year. Carey also mentioned the issues we are having with Marge Town Hall software and how we didn’t get the support that they said we would get, Mark mentioned that we should look into Breach of Contract and possible reimbursement from Town Hall software. We started the Marge Town Hall software in March 2022. We discussed going to Quick Books with an estimate yearly fee of $2292. Carey will look into this. Motion was made by Dale Zawislan to change from Marge Town Hall software to Quick Books, seconded by Dennis Brunner. Motion passed. Public Input: Jean Strack mentioned about ATV/UTV on the roadways, this was discussed in length in the New Business. Road Report: There is a road sign that is missing from the corner of Cary Rock Road and County Road B. Mark Gosh will call Pete Winistorfer, Chairman for the Town of Rock to investigate. New Business: Jean Gansch gave the Election Day report, that we and the county had a very good voter turnout. We had a very good team of election workers this election, Thank You to them all! They enjoyed all the food the Lori and Jean made for them New Business: Discussion of Rural Insurance and personal vehicles, Dale called Rural Mutual Insurance and they said if Tim uses his personal vehicle for town use and gets into an accident, Rural Insurance will pay the deductible. New Business: Discussion of Ordinance concerning ATV/UTV use in the Township, motion to pass Ordinance as read by Chairman Gosh (See Attached Copy of Ordinance) was made by Dale Zawislan, seconded by Dennis Brunner. Motion passed. Old Business: Wayne Accola gave a quote of $650 to replace the facia and sofit on the east and west sides of the townhall. The total amount includes the materials and labor. Motion was made by Dennis Brunner and seconded by Dale Zawislan. Motion was passed. Next meeting will be held on September 13th, 2022 at 6:00pm.
