Recreation Commission MEETING MINUTES July 20, 2026 - 6:00 PM Activity & Recreation Center 15321 W. National Avenue MINUTES 1. CALL TO ORDER Alderman Harenda called the meeting to order at 6:00pm 2. ROLL CALL; DECLARATION OF QUORUM; PUBLIC NOTICE Recreation Manager Katie Roth took the roll call as follows: Present: Alderperson Harenda, Commissioner Prei, Commissioner Woida, NBAA Rep Johnson, NBPS Rep Bush Excused: Ashley Tietyen Absent: Paul Kittson Staff Present: Recreation Manager Katie Roth, Recreation Specialist TJ Watkins, Recreation Specialist Parker Dorothy, and Recreation Specialist Kelsey Stouffer Katie Roth confirmed that a quorum was present and that the meeting was properly posted in compliance with open meetings law. 3. NEW BUSINESS A. Requested Action Statement for the recommendation of approval to the Common Council of the Room Rental Rates, Policies, and Procedures for the New Berlin Activity & Recreation Center (ARC) and Community Center at Hickory Grove. MOTION: Motion to Approve Motion by: NBAA Rep Johnson Second by: Commissioner Woida VOTE: Motion Passed 5-0 B. Requested Action Statement for the recommendation of approval to the Common Council of the Court Rental Rates, Policies, and Procedures for the New Berlin Activity & Recreation Center (ARC). Requested Action Statement for the approval of the creation of a Recreation Services Associate position for the Recreation Department. Requested Action Statement for the recommendation of approval to the Common Council of the vendor agreements with Hooper Hands to provide Instructional basketball programs. Requested Action Statement for the recommendation of approval to the Common Council of the vendor agreements with Amanda Doerr Dance to provide Ballroom Dance. Requested Action Statement for the recommendation of approval to the Common Council of the vendor agreements with Banks Family Consulting LLC to provide consulting services for small businesses and individuals, as well as personal athletic training. Youth Enrichment Division Update Recreation Specialist, TJ Watkins provided an update on Summer Day Camp. D. Youth Sports Division Update Recreation Specialist, Kelsey Stouffer provided an update on NBYA Youth Leagues. E. Adult Sports & Enrichment Division Update Recreation Specialist, Parker Dorothy provided an update on Pickleball & Adult softball. F. Special Events & Rentals Division Update No items G.
