Town of Richfield 8478 Richfield Drive Marshfield, WI 54449 Monthly Board Minutes December 13, 2021 Call to Order Dave Steinmetz called the meeting to order at 6:45PM Pledge of Allegiance Roll call The following persons were present: Dave Steinmetz (Chairperson), Chris McDaniel (Supervisor #1), Jack Pernsteiner (Supervisor #2), Josh Sabo (Fire Chief), Keith Albright (Resident), Sue Weister (Clerk) Absent Tammi Pernsteiner Minutes from November 8, 2021 Monthly Board Meeting Chris McDaniel made a motion to approve the November 8, 2021 monthly board meeting minutes. Jack Pernsteiner made the 2nd the motion. Motion carried. Minutes from November 8 2021 Budget Meeting Chris made a motion to approve the November 8, 2021 Budget meeting minutes Jack 2nd the motion Motion carried Treasurer’s Report Jack Pernsteiner motion to approve the November Treasurer Report. Dave 2nd the motion. Motion carried. Fire Chief’s report Fire calls = 5 First Responder’s report Calls = 3 Road Maintenance Keith explained he plows 39 miles that takes about 10 hours. Dave would like to see more available people to plow snow. He is going to check with Larry Guden and others. Keith will try to keep track of potholes for spring filling. Culverts Discussed Snow Plowing Discussed the need for more licensed and trained drivers Cemetery Update Dave to check with other Cemetery managers about filling out deeds and sending them to Wood County Clerk of Deeds office for a $30.00 filing fee. Building Maintenance Due to the winter months building repairs will be pretty much put on hold. We need to have mouse traps placed in the housekeeping closet. ARPA funds update Discussed The funds will stay in our General account for the time being. It will be separated out on the Treasurer’s report. Sue had nothing to report. 941 IRS Update Discussed Animal at Large ,MAPS Dave will talk to Karen at MAPS, it was brought up that the township should start charging people to get their pets back. Chris had copies of an ordinance that the town ship could follow, this will be reviewed for January’s meeting, would like to merge with the Town of Rock. Insurance for fire dept and town It was agreed upon to move forward with Horton Fire Dept insurance Chris made the motion to move forward Jack 2nd the motion. Motion approved. Bethal Up date cross walks Cross walk signs are up as requested. Lawyer up date jc Discussed Trees Falling It was discussed who would be responsible if a tree falls on your property or on others or on the road. Wis- Lr MAPS Discussed Roadway agreements boarding Discussed Broken Fire Numbers Discussed Home and Building Inspections Discussed Bluff to Bluff Race Discussed Ambulance Contract with Marshfield Chris McDaniel made a motion to approve the 2022 ambulance contract with the city of Marshfield. Jack Pernsteiner 2nd the motion. Motion carried. Invoicing – was discussed. Accounts Payable Chris McDaniel made a motion to approve the bills. Jack Pernsteiner 2nd the motion.
