Town of Richfield 8478 Richfield Drive Marshfield, WI 54449 Monthly Board Minutes December 8, 2024 Dave Steinmetz called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. Pledge of Allegiance Roll call The following persons were present: Dave Steinmetz (Chairperson), Chris McDaniel (Supervisor #1), Andrew Woltmann (Supervisor #2), Paula Rustad (Clerk), Johnathan Dickinson (Treasurer), Josh Sabo, Keith Albright Approval of the 2025 Budget On the agenda in error. 2025 Budget was approved at Monthly Board meeting held on November 11, 2024. Minutes from November 11, 2024, Budget Hearing Chris McDaniel made a motion to approve the November 11th, 2024, Budget Hearing minutes. Andrew Woltmann 2nd motion. Motion carried. Motion carried. Treasurer’s Report Chris McDaniel made a motion to approve the November 2024 Treasurer’s report. Andrew Woltmann 2nd motion. Motion carried. ARPA funds will be removed after December 2024. Meeting Date/Time The monthly meeting for January is set for Sunday, January 12th, 2024, at 6:30pm. The February meeting will be decided at the next meeting. Future meeting dates and times will be discussed at each meeting. Set Caucus Meeting Date-must be between January 2nd & January 21st The Caucus Meeting is set for Sunday, January 12th, 2024, at 6:30pm before the monthly meeting. Town Insurance Paula will be dropping approved and signed contract with payment to Rural Insurance/Kreklau Insurance. Road Maintenance Snowplow truck is running and ready for the snow. Building Maintenance Chris inquired about the last time holding tanks were pumped. He will check them. Cemetery Update No new updates Forest Tax Land Law order from Wisc. Dept of Natural Resources-for review Was discussed. Fire Department/EMR Report Chief Josh Sabo reported the following for November 2024: Fire Calls for service since 11/11/24 – 2 2 in Richfield; burning complaint at 7315 Cth N and woodshed fire at 9013 Thompson Rd 0 - automatic/mutual aid. First Responder Calls since 11/11/24 – 2 1. Purchasing 5 Seek FirePro 300 TIC and 2 Seek AttackPro TIC with Calendar Raffle Fundraiser money. 2. Keep the Wreath Campaign, runs from Thanksgiving to New Year's Day. Every time there is a structure fire in Wood County a red bulb is added to the wreath, 1 red bulb so far. 3. Next FD meeting will be member appreciation night. Invoicing Received one from Fire Department, will get deposited. Items intended for future meetings.
