Minutes Village of Arpin – Town of Arpin Joint Meeting Wednesday, July 16, 2025 These notes are not minutes of this meeting until accepted and approved at their next regularly scheduled meeting. Meeting Called to Order: 7:00 p.m. Village Board Attending: President: Jack Esser Trustees: Dan Mrotek, Libby Block Town Board Attending: Chairman Mark Scheunemann, Rick Bouma, Shelly Grimm, Karmen Bouma Staff: Jill Richardson Village Residents: Luke Bravener, Caleb Conner Town Residents: Roy Koopman, Bob Bauer, Tyler Grosskreutz 1. Review of Joint Agreement: Boards reviewed the Joint Agreement signed in 2022. Boards agree current Agreement is acceptable and will stay in place. 2. Fire Commission: Boards discussed need for Fire Commission. If the Fire Chief(s) would need assistance addressing personnel matters, or other areas on concern, the Chief(s) will be able to bring those matters to the Boards for assistance. MOTION (Jack Esser/Dan Mrotek) to not have a Fire Commission for the Arpin Volunteer Fire Department. Carried 3-0. MOTION (Mark Scheunemann/Rick Bouma) to disband the Fire Commission. Carried 2-0. 3. Savings Designated for Fire Department: Boards are aware that the Fire Engine will need to be replaced in 5-years or the Department will lose their ISO rating. Both Boards have established a savings account reserved for this expenditure. 4. Recycling Program Dates: No date was set. The advertising for this event will be at the designated posting locations for each municipality. The event will be limited to Town and Village residents only; participants will need to provide their address for verification. 5. Adjourn: Motion (Dan Mrotek/Jack Esser) to Adjourn the Joint Meeting between the Village and Town of Arpin at 7:39. Carried 3-0.
