Monthly Board Meeting — Minutes

Seneca Town Hall 3540 County Highway Q Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54495 Regular Monthly Board Meeting] (Minutes are not official until the Board approves them) July 2, 2026 The Town of Seneca Board met for a regular meeting on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at the town hall. Dean Oilschlager called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m, opening with the Pledge of Allegiance. In attendance were Dean Oilschlager, Dave Carolfi, Tom Wolf, Terrance Lobner, Greg Stashek, Sheila Grosskreutz and Jackie Kitowski. Tom Wolf made a motion to accept the minutes from the June 3, 2026 regular monthly Board Meeting. Dave Carolfi seconded the motion. Motion carried. Dave Carolfi made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report for June and pay the bills brought before the board. Tom Wolf seconded the motion. Motion carried. Dave Carolfi made a motion to approve the minutes of the June 9, 2026 Zoning Committee Meeting with one correction. Tom Wolf seconded. Motion carried. Correspondance- 1. Building permit was given to a resident for a hunting shack 2. A building permit was given to a resident for a shed. 3. WTA sent the minutes of the June 19, 2026 Wood County Unit meeting. 4. County sent a certified Plat Map for Martin Road 5. Com2 sent the results from our E-recycling Day. The company collected 3125 lbs. Of electronic waste. 6. Port Edwards Town Board would like to print the amount of taxes going to vouchers for Private schools, on the tax bills. Public Input- 1. A resident came to discuss the logistics of putting up a fence on his property. He was looking for information on the rules. Chairman Dean Oilschlager checked the ordinances and read through the rules for fencing. Discuss rules for Public Input- Board discussed the rules of public input, so that rules are required for appropriate behavior during public input. The clerk, Jackie Kitowski, is going to come up with some examples for the next meeting and the board will have further discussion at the next meeting. Discuss and vote on Ordinance for Commercial Solar Installations- After some discussion, the board determined that the Solar Installation Ordinance is a good idea. Tom Wolf made a motion to approve the Ordinance for Commercial Solar Installations. Dave Carolfi seconded the motion. Motion carried. Discuss and vote on Ordinance for Data Centers- After some discussion, the board determined that the draft of the Data Center Ordinance needs to be revised. Discuss and vote on Resolution of Permit Fees- After some discussion, the board determined that the resolution is needed. Dave Carolfi made a motion to approve the Resolution of Permit Fees. Tom Wolf seconded the motion. Motion Carried. Road Work- 1. Town Patrolman, Greg Stashek, has been mowing ditches. 2. The Town Patrolman also found a large amount of household garbage dumped on the end of Marsh Road. It has been taken to the dump, after the police have been contacted. Adjourn – A motion was made by Tom Wolf to adjourn the board meeting; seconded by Dave Carolfi. Motion carried.
