Monthly Meeting — Minutes

Seneca Town Hall 3540 County Highway Q Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54495 Regular Monthly Board Meeting (Minutes are not official until the Board approves them) September 3, 2025 The Town of Seneca Board met for a regular meeting on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at the town hall. Dean Oilschlager called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m, opening with the Pledge of Allegiance. In attendance were Dean Oilschlager, Dave Carolfi, Tom Wolf, Sheila Grosskreutz, and Jackie Kitowski. Dave Carolfi made a motion to accept the minutes from the August 6, 2025 regular monthly Board Meeting. Tom Wolf seconded the motion. Motion carried. Tom Wolf made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report for August and pay the bills brought before the board. Dave Carolfi seconded the motion. Motion carried. Public Input- Change the Date of the Next Meeting- Due to scheduling conflicts the next Monthly meeting will be held October 8 instead of October 1. Correspondence 1. E-recycling business sent the board information about their e-recycling program that they would run in the Town of Seneca. The program is run at no cost to the Town. They sent a list of the items that they accept and the ones that they do not. The clerk will check with the business and see if they can set up a day in October. Dave Carolfi made a motion to have the clerk try and set-up an e-recycling day in Oct. Tom Wolf seconded the motion. Motion carried. 2. Clean Sweep is scheduled for Sept. 13 in Saratoga. Information is on the door of the Town Hall. 3. Jewel Engineering sent a letter about helping with grant writing. 4. Wisconsin Rapids public works sent a letter with information about the compost site and permits. 5. WTA sent the unit meeting minutes. 6. The Wood County Highway Department sent a letter explaining the process of choosing the committee to decide how to grant the LRIP funds. 7. The Humane Society of South Wood County sent an invoice of the August intakes from the Town of Seneca. The board discussed the contract and how the contract might need to be changed for next year. 8. PASER Road Certification Packet came in the mail, the board will complete the paperwork. Road Work 1. The County was working on Range Road today and they should be completed sometime this week. Discussion of Tree Removal Estimate- The board discussed the Haas Tree Care estimate for removal of the oak tree behind the Town Hall. After some discussion the board decided to get an estimate from some other tree services. Tom Wolf made a motion to have the tree removed, for a cost of no more than $5000, using the company with the lowest estimate to safely remove the tree. Dave Carolfi seconded. Motion carried. Adjourn – A motion was made by Dave Carolfi to adjourn the board meeting; seconded by Tom Wolf Motion carried.
