Seneca Town Hall 3540 County Highway Q Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54495 Regular Monthly Board Meeting (Minutes are not official until the Board approves them) March 5, 2025 The Town of Seneca Board met for a regular meeting on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at the town hall. Dean Oilshlager called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m, opening with the Pledge of Allegiance. In attendance were Dean Oilschlager, Dave Carolfi, Tom Wolf, Sheila Grosskreutz, Janet Hohl, Kim Elgersma, Dave Alnes, and Jackie Kitowski. Tom Wolf made a motion to accept the minutes from the February 5, 2025 regular Monthly Board Meeting with 2 changes. Dave Carolfi seconded the motion. Motion carried. Dave Carolfi made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report for February and pay the bills brought before the board. Tom Wolf seconded the motion. Motion carried. Public Input- None at this time. Correspondence 1. The town got another letter about the transmission line going through the Enbridge site. 2. Road Forum sent a save the date notification for Tuesday, April 22, 2025. 3. The Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Committee sent a letter to notify the town that there is a survey about updating the county parks and recreation areas. 4. Rural Mutual sent a copy of the town’s workmen's comp policy. 5. Dean found a legal opinion in the Wisconsin Towns Association Magazine concerning a constituent's junk in the yard. The supervisors were going to read through the opinion and discuss the issue. The clerk will write a letter that will ask the constituents to clean up the mess. Road Work 1. Nothing for now. ◻ Discuss purchasing a pickup truck and offers that have been looked at- The board discussed options that they found in the area. The board determined that the best option would be a 2017, F-150 with 119,961 miles for $24, 900. Dave Carlofi made a motion to purchase the 2017 F-150 for no more than $24,900. Tom Wolf seconded the motion. Motion carried. ◻ Discuss having NCWRPC do our PASER rating at no charge -At the County Unit Meeting the NCWRPC offered to complete and file our PASER ratings form free of charge. The board discussed the pros and cons of having them complete it. Dean will call them and discuss having them complete the PASER rating. ◻ Discuss adding Kim Elgersma for a couple hours per week to assist our recycling attendant. After a short discussion Tom Wolf made a motion to add Kim Elgersma as a recycling attendant for a couple hours a week. Dave Carolfi seconded the motion. Motion carried. ◻ Deciding on a speaker and menu for the county unit meeting in July- Lori and Friends was suggested for the catering. After some discussion Dave Carolfi made a motion to hire a caterer for the Wood County Unit meeting that Seneca will host in July, for no more than $1000. Tom Wolf seconded the motion. Motion carried. The speaker suggested was Jason Grueneberg from County Planning and Zoning. Dean will contact him and make the arrangements. ◻ The Board completed the December 2024 reconciliation. Adjourn – A motion was made by Dave Carolfi to adjourn the board meeting; seconded by Tom Wolf. Motion carried.
