November 13, 2023 Budget Public Hearing Meeting

1 TOWN OF PORT EDWARDS BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING MEETING MINUTES Date: November 13th, 2023 Call to Order: Chairman Randy Moody called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Hall. The meeting began with the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance. Meeting Certification: This meeting has been properly posted (on the Town Hall door as well as on our website) in order to notify the public of date, place, time, and agenda. Attendance: Chairman Randy Moody, Supervisors Tim Schmidt, Jeff O’Donnell, Treasurer Kathy Reese, Clerk Michelle Sorenson. There were also a couple people present from the public. Agenda: Approve the agenda Review the 2024 budget and answer any questions Public Input Adjourn Motion was made by O’Donnell and seconded by Schmidt to approve the agenda. Motion carried. 2024 Budget: The budget was reviewed line by line. The only question at hand was a request for clarification on the 46% increase in the general government category. This category is found on the disbursement side of the budget. This increase was caused by the additional assessor services the Town will need next year to have the Township reassessed. Total cash and revenues for 2024 are estimated to be $759,990.43. There were no other questions from the public. Public input: There was none.
