November 15, 2021 Budget Meeting

TOWN OF PORT EDWARDS BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING MEETING MINUTES Date: November 15th, 2021 Call to Order: Chairman Randy Moody called the meeting to order at 6 p.m. in the Town Hall. The meeting began with the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance. Meeting Certification: This meeting has been properly posted (on the Town’s three posting boards, and on the Town Hall door) as well as published on our website and in the Daily Tribune, to notify the public of date, place, time, and agenda. Attendance: Chairman Randy Moody, Supervisors Tim Schmidt and Jeff O’Donnell, Treasurer Kathy Reese, Clerk Michelle Sorenson. Five people (P. Martinson, J. Czappa, L. Egland, C. Smith, and D. Matthews arrived late) from the public were also in attendance. Agenda: Approve the agenda Review the 2022 budget and answer any questions Public Input Adjourn Motion was made by O’Donnell and seconded by Schmidt to approve the agenda. Motion carried. 2022 Budget: The budget was reviewed line by line. Total cash and revenues for 2022 are $757,298.07. There were no questions from the public and there is a year and a half left to pay on the Town tractor and six years left on the Lynn Hill Road loan. Public input: There was none. Adjourn: O’Donnell made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:20p.m. and Schmidt seconded. All were in favor and the motion carried. Meeting Certification: This meeting has been properly posted (on the Town’s three posting boards, and on the Town Hall door) as well as published on our website and in the Daily Tribune, to notify the public of date, place, time, and agenda. Agenda: Vote to approve 2021, payable 2022, town tax levy Adjourn 2021 Tax Levy: The 2021 tax levy as allowed by the State of Wisconsin is $219,665.00. L. Egland made a motion to adopt the 2021, payable 2022, tax levy with a second from P. Martinson. The motion was put to a vote of the parties present. All were in favor and the motion carried. Adjourn: J. Czappa made a motion to adjourn the special town meeting of electors at 6:25 p.m. and L. Egland seconded. All were in favor and the motion carried.
