November 13, 2023Special Town Electors Meeting

1 TOWN OF PORT EDWARDS SPECIAL MEETING OF TOWN ELECTORS MINUTES Date: November 13th, 2023 Call to Order: Chairman Randy Moody called the meeting to order at 6:07p.m. in the Town Hall. The pledge of allegiance was recited to begin the public hearing on the 2024 Town budget that was held just prior to this special meeting of the Town electors. Meeting Certification: This meeting has been properly posted (on the Town Hall door as well as on our website) to notify the public of date, place, time, and agenda. Attendance: Chairman Randy Moody, Supervisors Tim Schmidt, Jeff O’Donnell, Treasurer Kathy Reese, Clerk Michelle Sorenson, and Highway Superintendent Adam Lueneburg. There were also a couple people from the public in attendance. Agenda: ✓ Approve the agenda ✓ Review the levy limit worksheet, answer any questions and then vote to approve the 2023, payable 2024, Town tax levy ✓ Adjourn 2023 Tax Levy: The 2023 tax levy as allowed by the State of Wisconsin comes out to be $223,425.00. A general question as to where the levy shows up on the Town budget worksheets was asked. Clerk clarified the location on the revenues side of the worksheets. There were no other questions or concerns. Neil Heinrich made a motion to adopt the 2023, payable 2024, tax levy with a second from Pat Martinson. The motion was put to a vote of the parties present. All were in favor and the motion carried. Adjourn: Being there was no other business to discuss, Schmidt made a motion to adjourn the special town meeting of electors at 6:10p.m. and O’Donnell seconded.
