A motion was moved by Ned to approve. Seconded by Supervisor Ron Koziczkowski. Motion approved. The treasurer report was received. Old Business: Members of the board attended the WTA Fall Workshop. Using information given during these classes, we will be updating some policies and ordinances in the near future to better serve the town and current statutes. The lawsuit filed by Emery Night against the Town of Milladore over the loss of his glasses at the recycling center, has been dismissed on merits. The contract with Auburndale Fire Department to provide service to all sections of Milladore began on October 1, 2025. This is a five-year contract. We appreciate The Auburndale Fire Department’s transparency, and invitations and minutes for their monthly meetings. We have still not received a response to the open records request sent by the town attorney to Sherry Fire Department to see their financial records. This will still be pursued in an effort to answer questions the taxpayers have asked about how their tax dollars were spent. We have still not received a response to the open records request sent by the town attorney to The Blenker Sherry Sanitary District to see their financial records and governing documents. We have sent additional questions and requests to them on the advice of our attorney and hope to have answers soon for our taxpayers. New Business: Town Web Design has reached out and let us know they can’t find the check we sent them. The clerk verified it has not been cashed with our bank. She will follow up with them as to whether a new check should be issued, or if they can take a debit payment. A motion was moved by Ned to adopt the new ordinance presented by The Auburndale Fire Department that allows for only one fire inspection of the town hall per year. Seconded by Ron. Motion carried. There was discussion as to the immediate concerns about the sanitary district. Earlier in the month, Commission President Vic Krzykowski sent a letter to district customers tending the resignation of the entire commission. Upon advice from our attorney, the Milladore Board sent an acknowledgement of this resignation. The town of Milladore currently has the higher equalized value within the sanitary district. Upon further advice from the attorney, on October 5, the Milladore Board held a special meeting and appointed themselves as the new Blenker Sherry Sanitary District Commission. This will be a short-term solution to straighten out the major problems in the district. It is the goal to have this turned over to a new commission as quickly as possible. The Blenker Sherry Post Office has temporarily shut down their lobby services. This has resulted in issues getting some of our mail. We have been contacted by the district post office and are working to find a way to get pieces that have been redirected to other branches. At this time, they are unsure how long they will be closed. Standard mail will still be servicing the PO boxes. A survey map was reviewed and accepted for Pat Hollar. The Marshfield Ambulance contract was signed. The updated Uniform Code of Dwelling was signed. Road Repairs and Concerns: A potential plow truck that may suit the town’s needs has been looked at by Ron, and he hopes to have it brought to the town hall for others to inspect in the near future. Recycling Center Updates: The recycling center is currently full staffed. Public Comment was had. A motion was moved by Ned to pay bills. Seconded by Joel. Motion approved. The next meeting will be held on Sunday, November 2, at 6:30 pm, at The Milladore Town Hall, 3720 County Road P, Milladore, WI, 54454. A motion was moved by Joel to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by Ron. Meeting adjourned. Respectfully submitted by Leslianne Ruesch, Town of Milladore Clerk
