Town of Milladore Supervisors Meeting December 1, 2024 Minutes Board Members Present: Joel Kuehnhold, Hank Nigh, Ned Ruesch, Leslianne Ruesch, Ken Manlick Citizens Present: Bob Ashbeck, Ron Koziczkowski The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance by Ned Ruesch. Old Business: Statistics from the election were given. We had 429 total votes, including 66 absentee/early absentee voters, and 34 new registrations the day of the election. Ned reported that the board will work on updating 5 year plan over the next few months. The clerk has been in contact with Afterall Inc. We are awaiting an answer for the cost of the ADA compliant porta potty, and then plan on purchasing it. The WTA Unit meeting we are hosting will be held on December 6th at 6:30 pm at the Village Hall. Sanitary delinquencies have been filed with the county. New Business: The clerk presented a list for election workers for the upcoming 2025 year. The following workers are listed: Paul Haffenbredl, Sarah Marcott, Karen Wallner, Karianne Teresinski, Karen Kuehnhold, Betty Smith, Joel Kuehnhold, and alternates Chris Hollar and Ned Ruesch. A motion was moved by Ned to accept these workers. Seconded by Joel. Motion approved. The Humane Society contract has been received. The board questions the substantial increase, as it is almost 9 times the normal rate. The town averages only 2 or 3 animals per year, so the clerk will reach out to The Humane Society to ask for clarification, and if we cannot receive a satisfactory explanation, we will also reach out to the WTA lawyer to discuss the implications of the town for not having a contract. Making a decision is therefore tabled until next month. Board positions are up for reelection in April. The clerk passed out needed forms. Anyone who is interested in running for the town board, may reach out to the clerk for nomination papers, and other necessary paperwork. The Type A Notice of Election was posted by the clerk on November 24, 2024.
