2025 NOVEMBER BOARD MEETING — Minutes

TOWN BOARD MEETING MINUTES DATE: NOVEMBER 5, 2025 PLACE: Town of Sigel Town Hall – 3678 TOWN HALL RD – WISC RAPIDS WI TIME: 7:00PM BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Dick Goodwin, Supervisor Tom Nieman and Supervisor Dennis Larson. 1. Chairman Goodwin called the meeting of the Town Board to order at 7:00PM. There was a Pledge of Allegiance. 2. MINUTES – Clerk, Sandra Nieman read the minutes from the last meeting. Chairman Goodwin asked if there are any additions or corrections to the minutes. There was none. The minutes were approved with unanimous consent. 3. TREASURER’S REPORT – Dawn Larson, Treasurer read the Treasurer’s Report. She reported a balance of $173,145.10 in the general checking account, $123,103.65 in the machinery fund, and $45,882.00 Townhall building repair fund. Goodwin asked if there were any additions or corrections to the report. There were none. The treasurer’s report was approved with unanimous consent. 4. ZONING UPDATES – Tony Spranger reported that Mike Ashbeck obtained a shed permit in October. 5. POLANSKY DOG AT LARGE FEE ENFORCEMNT - Goodwin has made contact with the Polansky’s and they have agreed to pay this fee. Goodwin stated that if the payment is not received soon legal action will be taken. 6. TOWN OF HANSEN/TOWN OF SIGEL SNOW PLOW AGREEMENT – Larson made a motion to approve, seconded by Nieman. Motion carried. 7. SNOW PLOW DRIVERS - Mike Taylor and Cory Weiler have agreed to drive again as plow drivers. 8. APPROVE DRIVEWAY/CULVERT PERMIT(S) – IF ANY – Randal Henke requested to replace two culverts on his properties on Henke Rd. Nieman made a motion to approve, seconded by Larson. Motion carried. Brandon Dvoran requested to install a culvert on Zubella Rd. Nieman made a motion to approve. Larson seconded. Motion carried. William Miller requested to replace a culvert on Town Hall Rd. Nieman made a motion to approve, Larson seconded. Motion carried. 9. ROAD WORK – Shouldering is done on Schudy and Pine Rd. The repair on Pine Rd will be done by Wood County. Some brush cutting and ditching may be done yet this year. Nieman asked about the chip seal on roads that was completed this year. Scott Construction will be contacted about the chips that were used as it was not done per the bid. The Town has been awarded an LRIP project for 2026 in the amount of about $23,000. 10. CITIZEN INPUT - Mike Schwake asked about the process of the Landfill negotiations. He also asked who purchased the Town land. Goodwin noted that the Budget Hearing is coming up on November 18, 2025 at 6:00PM. 11. OPEN AND READ CORRESPONDENCE, IF ANY – Correspondence was opened and read. 12. REVIEW AND APPROVE BILLS FOR PAYMENT - Nieman made a motion to pay bills, Larson seconded. Motion carried. ADJOURN – Motion to adjourn made by Nieman, seconded by Larson at 7:35PM. Motion carried.
