2025 JUNE ZONING COMMITTEE MEETING — Minutes

Joint Planning Commission Minutes Meeting held June 17thth 2024 Re-zone Meeting was called to order at 6:02PM by Chairman Tony Spranger Followed by the pledge of allegiance Planning Commission members present: Tony Spranger, Chastity Altman, Dennis Hall (arrived in middle of agenda2) and Ron Hilgart all present Board of Adjustment/Appeals members present: Mike Schwake and Cindy Pelot all present Also present: Dick Goodwin, Sandy Nieman, Tom Nieman, Jessica Wusmundt, Brad Brehm, Scott Brehm, Larry Dvoran, Jeff Olsen, Pat Brice, Cindy Brice, Adrian Dvoran Agenda 1: Rezone request to Commercial submitted by Adrian Dvoran for home-based excavation company Tony gave a quick introduction of request. Adrian spoke about what type of business and why he is requesting zoning change. He will be using rezoned acreage to park equipment for his excavation business with the thought of building a shop in the future. He is requesting to become compliant with town zoning ordinance Chastity may a motion to approve the rezone request, Ron seconded Motion passed in favor 3 of 3 Agenda 2: Rezone request to Special Purpose submitted by Brad Brehm for quarry/cranberry retention pond Tony gave a quick introduction of request. Brad spoke about purpose of the request to haul sand out of the township. Also, about past and present county and township permitting and issues with those. Brad clarified his request is for 7.21 acres Tony informed him of the 25’ he needs to be off the property line for excavation. Dennis asked for a sight review, Brad approved. (Sight review to be scheduled with Brad after meeting) Tony made a motion to postponed rezone meeting for this request until after sight review. Ron seconded Motion passed in favor 4 of 4. Rezoning meeting scheduled for July 15 6pm. Agenda 3: Rezone request to Commercial submitted by Mitch Holtz for home-based repair/body shop Tony gave a quick introduction of request. Mitch spoke about what type of business and why he is requesting zoning change. He will be using rezoned acreage for his shop that has been in operation for years He is requesting to become compliant with town zoning ordinance Ron may a motion to approve the rezone request, Tony seconded Motion passed in favor 4 of 4 7:00pm Tony made a motion to adjourn meeting, Dennis seconded Minutes submitted by Chastity Altman, Secretary
