TOWN OF SIGEL PUBLIC HEARING ON THE BUDGET MINUTES DATE: November 19, 2024 TIME: 6:00 PM PLACE: Town of Sigel Town Hall 1. Call Public Hearing to Order – Chairman Goodwin called the Public Hearing to order at 6:00PM. 2. There was a Pledge of Allegiance 3. Clerk had copy of proposed budget available. 4. Chairman Goodwin asked for comments or questions on the budget. Residents asked questions of the Chairman/Clerk on Revenues and Expenditures. 5. Residents had comments and questions as to how monies are spent and budgeted in the Town. 6. Motion made by Cindy Pelot, seconded by Mike Schwake to adjourn the Public Hearing on the Budget at 6:10PM. Motion passed. Sandra Nieman, Town Clerk Town of Sigel TOWN OF SIGEL SPECIAL ELECTOR TOWN MEETING MEETING MINUTES DATE: November 19, 2024 TIME: Immediately following the Public Hearing on the budget at 6:00 PM PLACE: Town of Sigel Town Hall BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Dick Goodwin and Supervisors Tom Nieman and Larry Pelot RESIDENTS PRESENT: See attached Sign-In List 1. Chairman Goodwin called the Special Elector Town Meeting to order at 6:10PM. 2. Goodwin stated that electors must adopt a budget and a highway budget, and The Town Board needs to set a Local Tax Levy for 2024 that will be billed in 2025. 3. Mike Schwake made a motion to approve the 2025 Budget of $572,354.00.00, Cindy Pelot seconded. Motion passed by voice vote 7-0 4. Cindy Pelot moved to adopt the 2025 Highway Budget of $292,654.00 seconded by Mike Schwake. Motion passed by voice vote – 7-0 5. Cindy Pelot made a motion to approve a total 2024 Local Tax Levy for taxes paid in 2025 of $267,057.00 to produce a mil rate of $2.41. Mike Schwake seconded. Motion passed by voice vote. 7-0 6. Motion made by Cindy Pelot to adjourn the Special Town Meeting, seconded by Mike Schwake at 6:15PM. Motion passed by voice vote 7-0. Sandra Nieman, Town Clerk Town of Sigel TOWN OF SIGEL SPECIAL BOARD MEETING MEETING MINUTES DATE: November 19, 2024 TIME: Immediately following the Special Town Elector Meeting That Starts Immediately Following the Elector Public Hearing on the Budget PLACE: Town of Sigel Hall MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman Dick Goodwin, Supervisors Tom Nieman and Larry Pelot 1. Chairman Goodwin called the Town Board to Order at 6:15PM. 2. Nieman made a motion to adopt the 202 5 Budget, Pelot seconded. Motion passed. 3. Pelot made a motion to adopt the 2025 Highway Budget as presented, Goodwin seconded. Motion passed. 4. Nieman made a motion to adopt the local tax levy in the amount of $267,057.00 as defined by the State Levy Limit as approved by electors at the Special Town Meeting held just prior to this meeting, seconded by Pelot. Motion passed. 5. Nieman made a motion to set the Local Tax Mil Rate at $ 2.41, Pelot seconded. Motion passed. 6. Nieman made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:16PM, Pelot seconded. Motion passed.
