MINUTES Cranberry Creek Landfill Expansion WASTE SITING COMMITTEE AUGUST 06, 2024 WISCONSIN RAPIDS CITY HALL I. Joe Behlen, Waste Siting Committee Chairman, called the meeting to order at 9:09AM. II. MEMBERS PRESENT: Joe Behlen, Lawrie Kobza (attended virtually through Teams), Tom Nieman, Dick Goodwin, Dean Oilschlager, Matt Zacher. OTHERS PRESENT: Sue Schill, Wisconsin Rapids Attorney, Sandra Nieman, Town of Sigel Clerk A. Approval of Minutes of Previous Minutes – Goodwin made a motion to approve meetings minutes with corrections from the last meeting of the February 06, 2024 Oilschlager seconded. Motion passed. B. Standing Committee Status – Tom Nieman informed, for Mayor Zacher’s information, the committee of the status of the Standing Committee. He said that there have not been any meetings. Chairman Behlen further explained the functioning of that committee. Mayor Zacher felt there should be a connection with WM through this committee. Discussion ensued regarding this committee’s organization and responsibilities. C. Behlen made a motion for the committee to go into closed session to discuss further negotiations with WM, Goodwin seconded. Motion passed. D. Adjourn - The meeting was adjourned in closed session.
