Zoning permits have been issued for Todd Grimm, Adam Hoffman, Brian Guldan, Mark Holbrook, and Terry Bores. 7. UPDATES FROM EMS MEETING WITH UNITED AMBULANCE - Goodwin gave a report on the United EMS meeting. United EMS wanted to buy a new truck but have decided not to do that at this time. Other devices they use were described. In the Town of Sigel there were 17 calls last year. So far this year there have been 16 calls. 8. ROAD WORK – John Eron, a county weed commissioner for Portage and Wood County presented items regarding noxious weeds growing in the Town. Wild parsnip is a noxious weed that can cause problems for residents. He has the right to go on private property to destroy these weeds. He has chemicals, backpacks, etc. to lend out for residents to control these weeds. He will talk with landowners that may have these weeds that need to be destroyed and can offer items to help. He wanted the board to know that he is around working with residents. Mike Schwake will be in contact with Mr. Eron for supplies. Crack filling/ Seal coating will be done soon on Young Rd and Reddin Rd. Heavy vehicles should be aware of this and use alternative routes. Swedish Rd will be resurfaced at the end of July and again, heavy vehicles should stay off that road to protect the new surface. Pelot felt Wood County didn’t do a very good job of grading the roads. Nieman asked about pulverizing of Zuebella Rd. Wood County would complete this for $24,000 with ¾ inch gravel. Pelot feels that ¾ inch gravel is too big. Nieman will again contact Wood County for ½ inch gravel price. It would cost more to use the ½ inch gravel. Nieman asked Goodwin if he had been in contact with Wood County Hwy and if he wanted Wood County to inventory all culverts in town roads. Nieman felt the Board could handle that. Goodwin feels Wood County should be contacted to give a price to do inventory and then a decision can be made. 10. CITIZEN INPUT – Nieman asked if anything is happening regarding negotiations with Waste Management. Goodwin will contact Joe Behlen to see where things are going. Goodwin stated that residents should be aware when Board of Review gets scheduled, maybe in September. There have been TVs found in the town ditches. This is a cost to all residents and if someone knows that this is happening, contact the Board as they will contact authorities for prosecution. 11.
