DRAFT Village of Biron Plan Commission - Minutes Wednesday July 29th, 2026 6:00pm 1. Call to Order- Chair Jon Evenson called the meeting to order at 6:03pm. Members present: Jon Evenson, Tom Schneider, Dan Muleski, Steve King, Pete Wolter, Kayla Lumaye, Tim McKellips excused. Also present Samantha Daugherty 2. Review final draft and maps of Comprehensive Plan 2030-2040 – The commission reviewed the final draft of the plan. There were a few additional edits that were discovered and will be sent to Sam Wessel to change. Page 25  Change "privately operated boat landings" to "publicly operated boat landings."  Update the acreage for the willed conservation to "40+ acre parcel" rather than "40- acre parcel." Page 31  Update the wording to add "may" between "5 percent" and "indicate."  Change the last sentence by replacing "is" with "may be." Map 3 – Outdoor Recreation  Add the recreational trails on South Biron Drive and in Bridgewater. o South Biron Drive trail extends from the existing trail in Wisconsin Rapids north toward the cranberry ditch, then follows the ditch to Kahoun. o Bridgewater trail extends from East Biron Drive to Sunset Point Drive.  Add the green park boundary for the public space at the Aqua Skiers lot (Parcel #2400009) and the property across North Biron Drive (Parcel #2400069) to match the outdoor recreation area shown on Map 6.  Remove the tree symbol at the boat landing since it is a shelter facility rather than a park.  Add the green park boundary for the entire Gateway Park property (Parcel #2400099B). Map 6 – Generalized Existing Land Use  As noted previously, parcel #2400027 should remain Agricultural on this map.  Update the former well site off 48th Street to Utility, as it is currently zoned Municipal Well Recharge Area Overlay District (MW) rather than woodlands.  Update parcel #2400099 adjacent to Gateway Park from Residential/Open Lands to Agricultural, as they are currently zoned.  Update the Gateway Park boundary. Map 7 – Future Land Use  Update parcel #2400027 to reflect the PC’s recommendation of Commercial with the existing Residential area.  Update the small portion of parcel #2400099 between the park and the area currently shown as Commercial to also be Commercial.  Update the Gateway Park boundary (Parcel #2400099B)  Change the former well site from Commercial to Public and Quasi-Public. DRAFT 3. Discussion and possible action on Resolution 26-08 recommending the draft of the Comprehensive Plan 2030-2040 for Village Board approval- Motion Lumaye second Wolter to approve the draft contingent on the edits that were discussed tonight being made first. Motion carried. 4. Next meeting date- next meeting date would be August 26th at 6:00pm 5. Adjourn- Motion Muleski second Lumaye at 7:03pm. Motion carried
