LEGISLATIVE, ORDINANCE AND ZONING COMMITTEE - MINUTES July 8th, 2026 4:00p.m. MEMBERS: Tim McKellips, Chairperson; Mark Honkomp, Tammy Steward via phone. Also present Samantha Daugherty Clerk/Treasurer, Kayla Lumaye DPW. 1. Call to Order – Chair McKellips called the meeting to order at 4:00pm. 5 members of the public were present. 2. Discussion on legal review of recodification – Municode project/meeting date – Daugherty presented the draft copy of the reviewed code for recodification project. The committee discussed need to review the draft and add amendments they want included. The committee agreed to review entire code and then have the other committees review the chapters that apply to their committees. Goal is to have this committee review completed before August 20th. 3. Discussion on parcel 2400022 – This parcel is along S Biron Drive and has a house that will need to be razed. McKellips stated the owner has reached out and have been speaking about wanting to rebuild. Josh Volz, building inspector, was present and stated he has spoken to the owner as well. Discussion about the property and plans took place and McKellips will follow up with owner regarding the next steps. 4. Discussion on request to rezone and create new parcel – Hayden Biegel and Rocky Biegel were present to discuss their plans for their property. Committee asked about use of the building and wanting to rezone. Owners want to be sure they can run their commercial business within zoning requirements before moving forward. There is also another project on the property they are considering but want to be sure the lot size is known and the use is approved before moving forward. Committee discussed options and will follow up with owners on next steps. 5. Referrals for next meeting – Dempze Cranberry projects and review of draft ordinances. 6.
