FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES February 9th, 2026, 7:30 a.m. Members present: Patty Gapen, Chairperson; Jamie Biegel Also present: Samantha Daugherty; Chairperson Patty Gapen called the meeting to order at 7:30 am The Committee reviewed all bills, non-lapsing, checking and savings accounts, journal entries, and time sheets. Bills were paid on checks 27028-27081 for General Checking and 5433-5443 for Utility Checking. Motion Biegel, second Gapen to recommend the Board’s approval of the bills, non-lapsing accounts and journal entries for Wastewater and Water Utility accounts and Village accounts. Motion carried. The committee discussed the early allocation of budgeted funds to Garage Maintenance fund in non-lapsing account. Motion Biegel second Gapen to approve an early allocation of $6000 to balance the fund and for purchase of new furnace for garage and will bring to board to approve. Motion carried. The committee discussed payment to Wood County for CTH U project. Reviewed invoices and discussed what total project costs are projected to be. Discussed options for paying back non lapsing fund and future costs. The village is responsible for a percentage of Wood County’s total costs at the end of the project. Approved the payment to Wood County that was made in January and the allocation of funds from non-lapsing. Discussed options to reimburse the non-lapsing fund and will discuss at board level.
