They’re planning to do more updates in the near future. These are inspected on a different basis than other hoses. We should still be using our hoses rather than theirs. They have a new Safety guy There’s a house owned by the county that Asst. We will be completing pre-plans so we need to be completing pre-incident surveys Community Risk Reduction / Public Education No Report Technology Infrastructure No Report Brush Truck Maintenance No Report Professional Development and Education Chief Dillingham NFA is offering a 4 hour course on leadership principles. Most of the officers should already have an account. If your account is dormant you must call to get account issues resolved. Anyone who is a driver. You must have an additional 12 hours per year. NIMS will satisfy some of that. We will also have EVOC which will satisfy an additional 2 hours. August - Hazardous Materials must be completed once again this year. Those younger than 18 have an alternative course. Training Schedule – MSTC (Spring Offerings) Firefighter 1, Firefighter 2 & Fire Inspector are being offered this spring. Chief’s Update Adams County Fire District just had an audit completed some of the findings include: Truck Checks SCBA Checks These can come with fines & need to be completed on time. We need to ensure that we are as compliant as we can be. With the switch to NERIS everyone got a 5 cent raise. Officers: Should have brought in old radios to be replaced with the new ones. The officer radios will then be given to the EMR’s. Wood County Dispatch updated CADs so the way they dispatch things might be a bit different. It’s all an internal process for the coms center that will help us out in the long run. In turn this could effect our ISO Rating. Starting this year, we are doing a post use inspection. This will be completed in ImageTrend. This is to be completed any time the truck is started up and leaves that apron. This is a state requirement. We will also be completing SCBA Checks and Truck Checks regularly. Station Cleaning Schedule wasreleased and there is a check list to be completed in ImageTrend. All check lists will go the lieutenants to be marked as completed Old Business MSTC Continuing Education Reminder: All personnel must create their MSTC E portal accounts via MSTC.augusoft.net → Village of Biron Fire Dept. → Third-Party Payment. Finance & Budget 2026 is a new year, therefore a new budget We did switch to United Ambulance Service which is slightly less than WI Rapids Ambulance. We have money in the budget for people to attend ICS300 & ICS400 Equipment Maintenance We need to figure a date to complete hose testing. (FF C. Pidgeon) SCBA maintenance & compressor testing (FF K. Pask) Pump Testing with Rennerts (Charles Stephenson) Ladder Testing – 2 year test cycle (Asst. Chief J. Volz) Budget Planning No Report Training & Department Events No Report New Business February 12th, 2026: We are completing Basic Physicals for Firefighter & EMR’s. This is a state requirement. These take 20 min. No blood draw required Every 5th year we will be doing hearing & eye testing. Hep B vaccines will be offered You can accept or decline. Just fill out the form & sign it.
