Audaxity Bike Ride
The inaugural Audaxity Bike Ride occurred in 2025 with 1,000 riders. This ride supports
cancer research through the Medical College of Wisconsin. This year, they attempt to
double their total riders, which includes various route distances and virtual riders. The two
longest rides, 55 and 100 mile, are currently slated to have their route go through Pewaukee
and they are interested in utilizing Lakefront Park as a rider rest stop.
From the Audaxity website… https://audaxity.org/impact/
‘We started Audaxity with the idea to unite Milwaukee and the surrounding region through a
radically fun event that fosters lifelong connections, advances ambitious goals, and raises
millions for cancer discoveries right here in Wisconsin.
Thanks to support from Audaxity’s sponsors, 100% of participant-raised funds go directly to
driving promising breakthroughs at the MCW Cancer Center. Collaboration between the
Audaxity team and Cancer Center leaders ensures every dollar is used for projects and
initiatives that will make an impact.
Our goal for the inaugural ride is to build a relentless community of riders committed to
ending cancer, while creating an event that is unforgettable, entertaining, and deeply
meaningful. Our ultimate mission is to end cancer—but along the way, we’ll celebrate
every milestone that keeps us rolling toward a brighter future.’
Event Description / Pewaukee Support:

• Set up at 6 AM, first rider at 7:45 AM, last rider around 12:30 PM

and Village Parks.

Background Provided By:
Nick Phalin
Background:
Staff are proposing a modification to our park rule of 'No Pets' being allowed at City and
Village Parks. It is believed this park rule with ordinance was created in 2005. In recent
years, staff and law enforcement have not had consistent enforcement of this park rule.
There have not been any been issues with pets at parks, but rather frustration for lack of
compliance to the rule.
Director Phalin has shared this with both City Attorney Riffle and Village Attorney
Gralinski for input. Both have recommended language for a modification to this rule
allowing pets in parks, on leash, in specified areas. Staff are seeking a motion for
adjustment, with recommendation to the City Common Council and Village Board.
Proposed language:
The attached document shares policies from neighboring communities regarding
