Village of Auburndale Meeting Minutes by Deb Stoflet — February 3, 2020 Roll Call: Present: Haupt, Marth, Stoflet, Anderson, Yeske, Curtin, and Marten. Absent: Schmutzer, Lingford, Attorney Dietrich Minutes: Motion Martin/Curtin to approve the minutes from 1-6-2020. Carried. Old Business: Generator — Koehler has a municipal generator that Spatz is waiting to receive a price. The old generator is still at Dave Draxleds and has not been worked on. Park Shelterhouse Chair Replacement — Stoflet brought in 3 samples of chairs from Book & Stationary in Marshfield. The board thought the 3 bared metal chairs were the best. The Lions will review them at their next meeting. Stoflet will see what she can get for the old chairs and we will review this at the next meeting and see what the village needs to come up with for the replacement of 200 chairs. New Business: Ordinance Officer Report — Gonzalez was present. He stated he was on the job for 6 months and gave a short review. He enjoys his job with the village and would like to continue. The board is very satisfied with the job he has been doing. He is okay with the pay he is getting. Gonzalez passed out a monthly law report for us to review. Discussed having Gonzalez do an annual sump pump check for village residents and businesses. Gonzalez will help with patrolling the Auburndale Music Fest June 26-28. Park Playground Lighting- We discussed that the playground at the park needs additional lighting. Last year a child ran into one of the bars on the playground and an ambulance had to be called. Wood County officers also had a concern regarding the dark area. Spatz will talk to Draxler regarding mounting additional lighting on a parking lot pole. Extra lighting might need to be rented for the Music Fest event. We will review at the next meeting. Work List: Christmas lights will be taken down in the next week or so. Some patching has been done on some of the village streets. Spatz will be working with the high school regarding some of their roof drains and water issues. Spatz will check the tunnel regarding possible water build up. Spatz stated snow groomers need to be more careful keeping piles of snow off the roads. Expenses: Anderson/Marten to approve the expenses as listed. Carried. Financial Report: Yeske/Marten to approve the financial report as listed. Carried. Other concerns: Marth will be sending out a notice regarding the Sewer/Garbage increase to residents in the village. $5.00 per quarter increase. There will be a Joint Village/Town Board meeting with the Fire Department on February 10, at 8:00 pm, at the Fire Station. Stoflet will post a notice in the display case out in front of the village hall. The meeting will be to discuss a new tanker and review the updates that have been made to the fire station.
