AD HOC COMMITTEE MINUTES Village of Whiting – Municipal Center 3600 Water Street, Stevens Point WI 54481 Wednesday, September 16, 2026 – 12 p.m. (noon) 1. Call to Order ● Jeanna called the meeting to order at 12:00 PM 2. Roll Call ● Ben Lasecki and Jeanna Trzebiatowski were present 3. Pledge of Allegiance ● The Pledge of Allegiance was recited 4. Discussion/Possible Action – Appointment of Citizen Member to Committee to be effective immediately. ● Motion to extend application of citizen members to end of day September 30 made by Ben Lasecki ● Second by Jeanna Trzebiatowski ● Discussion included still scheduling a meeting before the next board meeting, but after September 30. Motion carries unanimously 5. Discussion around the following: infrastructure in the village and need of data centers, identify land within the village that could support a data center, community impact of data centers. ● Jeanna reviewed the transcript from a meeting on Monday in South Wood County regarding “Education around Data Centers.” Direct recording can be viewed here for information only: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQCOzx_gsAg ● Concerns by citizens were brought up regarding legal research on our ordinances holing up as well as land size needed as there is a small data center already operating in Stevens Point. 6.
