5. Discussion and Possible Action - Municipal Center Cleaning Services
The Committee reviewed the proposal received from Gardener's Cleaning Company for Municipal
Center cleaning services. Gardener's was the only formal proposal received. The Committee
discussed outreach to other potential cleaning service providers and determined that the proposal
and pricing received from Gardener's were reasonable.
Motion by Mike Kaczmarek, seconded by Jeanna Trzebiatowski, to recommend that the Village
Board approve the proposal from Gardener's Cleaning Company for Municipal Center cleaning
services as outlined in the proposal. Roll call vote: motion carried unanimously.
6. Discussion and Possible Action - Employee Health Care Benefits
The Committee reviewed employee health care benefit options, including the TeamCare C6 and
M9 plans. Both plans would expand the Village's current employee benefits to include dental and
vision coverage. The Committee discussed differences in premiums, deductibles, chiropractic
coverage, accidental death benefits, and the overall financial impact to the Village.
The Committee noted that the M9 plan would provide substantially similar benefits while offering an
estimated annual savings of approximately $12,000 to the Village compared with the C6 plan. After
reviewing the options, the Committee determined that the M9 plan provides an appropriate balance
between employee benefits and cost to the Village.
Motion by Jeanna Trzebiatowski, seconded by Mike Kaczmarek, to recommend that the Village
Board approve the TeamCare M9 employee health care plan. Roll call vote: motion carried
unanimously.
