Village of Whiting Personnel Committee Minutes Village of Whiting Municipal Center 3600 Water St., Stevens Point WI 54481is Wednesday, March 11, 2026 – 11:00 a.m. 1. Roll Call: Meeting was called to order by Chairman Kurt Glenzer at 11:00 a.m. Present were committee members Ben Lasecki and Karen Curtis. 2. Motion by Lasecki, seconded by Curtis to enter closed session pursuant to Section 19.85(1)(c); Wis. Statutes for the purpose of considering employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the government body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. With the purpose being to fill the Utilities Operator vacancy. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. 3. Motion by Lasecki, seconded by Glenzer to reconvene in open session. Motion carried unanimously at 12:27 p.m. 4. President Bill Taugner joined the meeting via telephone. 5. Motion by Lasecki, seconded by Curtis to enter closed session pursuant to Section 19.85(1)(c); Wis. Statues for the purpose of considering employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the government body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. 6. Motion by Curtis, seconded by Lasecki to reconvene in open session. Motion carried unanimously at 12:35 p.m. 7. Motion by Glenzer, seconded by Curtis to recommend to the Village Board hiring a temporary employee. Motion carried unanimously. 8. Adjournment. Motion by Curtis, seconded by Lasecki to adjourn.
