1 VILLAGE OF WHITING BOARD MEETING **Note: These are the proposed Minutes that will be approved at the next meeting.** _____________________________________________________________________________ Tuesday, February 24, 2026 – 5 p.m. Village of Whiting Municipal Center Call to Order: President Taugner called the meeting to order at 5 p.m. Roll Call: President Bill Taugner, Trustees Karen Curtis, Kurt Glenzer, Mike Kaczmarek, John Koutre, and Ben Lasecki all present. Trustee Kevin Lutz was excused. Also present Mark Kitowski, KRP Brokers and Jake Wilcox, Director of PW & Utilities. Agenda Item #3 Closed Session: Motion made by Trustee Glenzer and seconded by Trustee Kaczmarek to enter into Closed Session at 5:02 pm pursuant to Section 19.85 (1) (e); Wisconsin Statutes for the purpose of considering deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session. For the purpose of negotiating an amendment to the offer to purchase Lots 1 & 2 Wallace place properties. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. Trustee Curtis recused herself at 5:02 pm Agenda Item #4 Reconvene in Open Session: Motion made by Trustee Koutre and seconded by Trustee Lasecki to reconvene into Open Session. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. President Taugner explained that the Village Board voted unanimously to rescind the Amended Offer to Purchase and send a revised Amendment to Purchase to the purchaser. Trustee Curtis came back into Open Session at 5:47 pm Agenda Item #6 Adjournment: There being no further business, motion made by Trustee Lasecki and seconded by Trustee Koutre to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. Meeting adjourned at 5:53 pm
