ORDINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Village of Whiting Municipal Center 3600 Water St. Stevens Point, WI 54481 Wednesday, February 4, 2026 – 5:00 p.m. Meeting convened at 5:00 p.m. 1. Roll Call. All committee members, Karen Curtis, Ben Lasecki, and Chairman John Koutre, were present. The committee’s volunteer word processor, Dean Curtis, was in attendance in the audience. 2. Approval of January 6, 2026 Ordinance Committee meeting minutes. Motion to approve as submitted made by Lasecki, seconded by Curtis. Approved by unanimous vote. • Public Comment may be permitted on the following agenda items: 3. Review and possible action regarding amendment to Ordinance Sec. 3.15, adding a new paragraph 5, Public Communication of Ordinances in Addition to Legal Publication. After discussion and changes, motion to approve and send to the Village Board for consideration, as edited, made by Lasecki, seconded by Curtis. Approved by unanimous vote. 4. Review and possible action regarding amendments to Ordinance Chapter 15, Water and Sewer Regulations and Rates. After discussion and changes, motion to approve and send to the Village Board for consideration, as edited, made by Curtis, seconded by Lasecki. Approved by unanimous vote. 5. Discussion and possible action on amended Ordinance Chapter 7, Ethics. The committee began discussion involving possible changes to several sections of the current Chapter 7. The committee will continue consideration of possible amendments to this ordinance chapter at its next meeting. No final action was taken on this agenda item. 6. Adjournment.
