Village Board 5:30 — Minutes

1 DECEMBER 2025 MINUTES **Note: These are the proposed Minutes that will be approved at the next meeting.** __________________________________________________________________________________ Village of Whiting Board Meeting Tuesday, December 23, 2025 – 5:30 pm Village of Whiting Municipal Center Call to Order: President Taugner called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. Roll Call: President Bill Taugner; Trustees Karen Curtis, Kurt Glenzer, Mike Kaczmarek, John Koutre, Ben Lasecki and Kevin Lutz all present. Also in attendance were Jake Wilcox, Director of Public Works and Utilities and several village residents. At 5:32 pm, Trustee Curtis recused herself from participating in Agenda Item #3. Approval of Offer to Purchase Wallace Place Lot 3: The Village made a counteroffer on the Offer to Purchase to which the purchasers agreed to all of the terms. President Taugner discussed the approval of Lots 3 and 4 being combined to create a single lot. Motion by Trustee Glenzer and seconded by Trustee Kourtre to approve the Offer to Purchase Lot 3 Wallace Place and for it to be combined with Lot 4. Motion carried six to one with Trustee Lutz voting in opposition. At 5:36 pm, Trustee Curtis resumed her position as a Board member. Adjournment: There being no further business, motion by Trustee Lasecki and seconded by Trustee Lutz to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. Meeting was adjourned at 5:36 pm.
