1 Village Board Meeting - Budget December 1, 2025 The Whiting Village Board met December 1, 2025, at the Whiting Municipal Center, 3600 Water Street. The news media and all persons required to be notified of the meeting were given such notice. The meeting was called to order at 6 p.m. by President Bill Taugner. Roll call: President Bill Taugner, Trustees Kurt Glenzer, John Koutre, Kevin Lutz, Karen Curtis, Mike Kaczmarek, and Ben Lasecki. Also in attendance were Jake Wilcox, Director of Public Works and Utilities and several Village residents. Agenda Item #2: Go to Public Hearing. President Taugner called the public hearing open, and comments were heard from the audience. There being no further questions or comments, a motion was made by Trustee J. Koutre and seconded by Trustee K. Glenzer close the Public Hearing. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote. Public Hearing was closed at 6:05 pm. Discussion continued at the Board level. Agenda Item #4: Resolution 2025-06 - Summary of Taxes. There being no questions or discussion, motion by Trustee K. Curtis and seconded by Trustee B. Lasecki to approve adoption of Resolution 2025-06 - Summary of Taxes. Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote. Agenda Item #5: Resolution 2025-07 - Establishing Salaries and Wages. After some questions and brief discussion, motion by Trustee J. Koutre and seconded by Trustee B. Lasecki to approve adoption of Resolution 2025-07 - Establishing Salaries and Wages. Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote. Addendum: Adoption of 2026 Village Budget. After a brief discussion on the 2026 budget, motion by Trustee K. Glenzer and seconded by Trustee K. Curtis to approve the 2026 Village budget. Motion carried unanimously by roll call vote. There being no other business, motion by Trustee J. Koutre and seconded by Trustee B. Lasecki to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried unanimously by voice vote. Meeting was adjourned at 6:14 pm. Pam Filtz Clerk
