VILLAGE OF NELSONVILLE VILLAGE BOARD MEETING MINUTES Via Zoom Meeting Tuesday 3/9/21 6pm UNAPPROVED MINUTES The meeting was called to order by President Josh Stolzenburg. Present at the meeting were: President Josh Stolzenburg, Trustee Mark Brueggeman, Trustee Walter Leppen and Clerk/Treasurer Daniel Bootz. Citizens present: Robert Bailey, Jery Dunn, Gary Anderson, Angel Stubinski, Meeting was called to order. M/S, Leppen/Brueggeman move to approve the February Board minutes, all in favor, motion carried. Treasurer’s report submitted by Clerk/Treasurer Daniel Bootz. M/S, Stolzenburg/Leppen , move to pay the bills as presented by Clerk/Treasurer Daniel Bootz, all in favor, motion carried. Correspondence was reviewed. Public Statements – Jery Dunn- Continues to work on an alternative site plan for a new village hall, including costs and floor plans. He believes that a combined post office and village hall at the corner of High and First Street would cost about $400,000. Discussion/Action – Drainage issues on Highway SS Leppen – There was significant ice buildup on Highway SS (East of the village) where Portage County recently repaved the road. Wally had followed up with the County and they had cleared the ditch and would be doing additional ditch work to address the drainage issue. Updates: ATV/UTV Signage Leppen - Still waiting for signs to be delivered. He will purchase polls if necessary, for mounting. Structural Engeneering Study – Stolzenburg - Firm has been contacted to review the site and the study will include an architectural study of the building. Study will also address updated code requirements. Josh will be meeting with engineer on March 18th and the well inspection at the Fire House and the Post office will take place of March 19th. GCAC – No update Water – No meeting. Next meeting will be March 29th. VILLAGE OF NELSONVILLE VILLAGE BOARD MEETING MINUTES Via Zoom Meeting Tuesday 3/9/21 6pm Park – B. Bailey - Met the previous week to discuss summer projects. Planned projects: Will be putting wood chips down along the sanctuary trail, replace fencing at the playground, dog waste stations on the sanctuary trail, additional boardwalk placement in the sanctuary. They are hoping that the costs can be approved by the Village Board in April. They are also looking for grants and options for upgrading park equipment, including possibly repaving tennis court. Lake Elaine beach will be reopened in May. Village Hall – No updates Fire – Fire Tender has been purchased. Plan – No updates. M/S Brueggeman/Leppen Adjourned 6:30 pm
