September Board Meeting

VILLAGE OF NELSONVILLE VILLAGE BOARD MEETING MINUTES Tuesday 9.7.23 6pm UNAPPROVED MINUTES Meeting was called to order by President Judah Haas Present at the meeting were: President Judah Haas, Trustee Mark Brueggeman, Trustee Walter Leppen and Clerk/Treasurer Daniel Bootz. President Judah Haas Citizens Present: None Meeting called to order by Haas M/S, Leppen/Bruggeman move to approve August 15th board minutes, all in favor, motion carried. Treasurer’s report submitted by Clerk/Treasurer Daniel Bootz. M/S, Leppen/ Brueggeman ,move to pay the bills as presented by Clerk/Treasurer, Daniel Bootz, , with up to $350 to go towards the pending credit card bill all in favor, motion carried. Correspondence- Information regarding initial Portage County Water Testing was shared. Public Statements: Discussion Items: Village Hall Construction – Village Hall Committee will be contracting with local providers to move forward with exterior and some interior work. The roof will also be subtracted outside of Eagle Construction. Building is still on schedule to be completed by November 2023. ABT Property Tax Insert – Information from ABT was presented to board. Fire Commission Representative – Jerald Trzebiatowski has resigned from the Fire Commission. Haas will began attending the meetings as the Nelsonville Representative. Previous Business and Possible Decisions Information – 1. GCAC Update – No updates 2. Groundwater Committee – Did not meet in August. September meeting is tentative schedule for September 28th at 6pm. 3. Park Committee – Haas is beginning to approach possible committee members to resume Park meetings in November. 4. Fire Commission – Currently working on next budget and looking at increasing the contingency fund to $75,000 by 2025. 5. Planning Committee – No updates 6. Village Hall Committee - Scheduled for September 14th at 6pm Adjourned 6:45 pm.
