VILLAGE OF NELSONVILLE VILLAGE BOARD MEETING MINUTES Tuesday 8.10.22 6pm APPROVED MINUTES Meeting was called to order by President Josh Stolzenburg Present at the meeting were: President Josh Stolzenburg, Trustee Mark Brueggeman, Trustee Walter Leppen and Clerk/Treasurer Daniel Bootz. Citizens present: Meeting was called to order. M/S, Bruggeman/Stolzenburg move to approve the July Board minutes, all in favor, motion carried. Treasurer’s report submitted by Clerk/Treasurer Daniel Bootz. M/S, Stolzenburg/Leppen move to pay the bills as presented by Clerk/Treasurer Daniel Bootz, all in favor, motion carried. Correspondence was reviewed Public Questions and Comments: None Discussion Items: Village Hall RFP – Stolzenburg updated board on status of bid process and opened discussion on how the boards wants to evaluate a bid. Brueggeman discussed expectations on a requesting a clear timeline for the project and right of refusal on change of design. Board also discussed impact on future costs related to design plans. ARPA – Board was provided information on suitable usage of ARPA funds. Road Construction/LRIP - No updates at this time. Board discussed options for funding the three projects being considered. Village Hall Roof – Village hall roof is leaking, causing damage to the roof, ceiling and floor. Contractors have been contacted and viewed the condition of the roof. The board is waiting for a cost estimate. Robert Bailey Mowing Services – M/S Bruggeman/Leppen – Move to approve agreement with Robert Bailey to approve lawn care services at $400/month. Information – 1. GCAC Update – Committee submitted a list to Portage County on actionable items. 2. Groundwater Committee – No update. Could not meet due to damage to village hall. 3. Park Committee – Robert Bailey resigned as chair of the park committee. Looking for new board c hair. 4. Fire Commission – No updates. 5. Planning Committee – No updates. Adjourned 7:00 pm.
