VILLAGE OF NELSONVILLE VILLAGE BOARD MEETING MINUTES Via Zoom Meeting Tuesday 4/13/21 6pm APPROVED MINUTES The meeting was called to order by President Josh Stolzenburg. Present at the meeting were: President Josh Stolzenburg, Trustee Mark Brueggeman, Trustee Walter Leppen and Clerk/Treasurer Daniel Bootz. Citizens present: Antek Zoromski-Linde, Jery Dunn, Amy Hussin, Mark Pearson, Jim Walker, Gary Anderson Meeting was called to order. M/S, Leppen/Brueggeman move to approve the March Board minutes, all in favor, motion carried. Treasurer’s report submitted by Clerk/Treasurer Daniel Bootz. M/S, Leppen/Stolzenburg, move to pay the bills as presented by Clerk/Treasurer Daniel Bootz, all in favor, motion carried. Correspondence was reviewed. Public Statements – Jery D – Requested that the board consider reinstating the Pledge of Allegiance at the beginning of Board Meetings. Discussion/Action – 1. Request for Park expenses a. M/S Brueggeman/Leppen move to approve $800 to be used by the Parks Commission for fencing and dog waste stations, all in favor, motioned carried. i. Leppen requested clarification on the height of the fence and visibility concerns. Fence will be approximately 3 feet high. 2. Fire House Engineering and Architectural Costs. a. M/S Stolzenburg/Brueggeman to allocate an additional $3248 from the Village Hall Reserve fund to pay for architectural and engineering costs associated with Fire House renovation, all in favor, motion carried 3. Board of Review Dates a. Initial Board of Review date was set for May 11th at 5:45. 4. Annual Calendar Discussion a. Stolzenburg is working out a calendar for the year for the board’s reference. Board Members are encouraged to send ideas to D. Bootz to be put on the calendar. Updates: ATV/UTV Signage • Leppen – Signs have been posted around the village. Thanks to Mark Pearson for donation of materials for the signs to be posted. Cost of signs will be covered by local ATV/UTV club. VILLAGE OF NELSONVILLE VILLAGE BOARD MEETING MINUTES Via Zoom Meeting Tuesday 4/13/21 6pm Information: GCAC – No update Water – Residents have submitted testimonials to environmental working group regarding local water concerns. April water testing was completed, but results have not been returned yet. Park – Request of funds was made, they are working with a potential donor to improve park system and developing a Master Plan on park development and improvement. Next meeting will be on April 29th at 6pm. Discussion will include future planning, grant applications and potential donors. May utilize an ad-hoc committee to focus on development.
